Bablake House boasts ample onsite parking, ensuring convenient access for both visitors and staff. Our beautifully landscaped gardens offer a serene environment for relaxation and social interaction.
Garden Features, Relaxation & Social Spaces
Residents can enjoy a meandering path that winds through layers of lush lawns and mature shrubs, perfect for leisurely strolls. For those who enjoy gardening, planted tubs are available for pottering, while a bird feeding station attracts local wildlife for residents to observe.
The gardens feature bench seating on the patio and quiet corners with tables and chairs, ideal for a peaceful cup of tea or conversation with visitors. A summer house offers a tranquil spot to unwind.
Smoking Areas
An outdoor shelter provides a comfortable space for staff and visitors to enjoy a cigarette, complying with safety and smoking regulations. Although temporarily removed during construction, it will be reinstated soon.

We are excited to announce plans for a sensory garden, enhancing the outdoor experience with engaging sights, sounds, and scents for our residents.
Dining and Housekeeping
The spacious dining room at Bablake House serves three freshly prepared meals daily, with regular drinks and snacks available throughout the day.
Residents also benefit from a laundry and ironing service, ensuring their personal items are always clean and fresh.
Communal Areas and Other Facilities
The Godiva Lounge
Named by the residents, this room features large sofa-style seating in a home-like setting, complete with a chess table and TV. It also has a drop-down screen for a cinema experience.
The Music Lounge
With large natural stone walls and an original fireplace is used for listening to music and hosting large group activities. It provides a space for fitness sessions and social events.
L-Shaped Dining Area
Our dining area combines a cosy country cottage feel with distinctive herringbone patterned brickwork. A bright, garden-themed section features patio doors that open to the garden, creating a refreshing dining atmosphere.
Flexible Seating & Supportive Dining Environment
The dining space accommodates both small and large groups, catering to residents’ preferences—whether they enjoy socialising in a group or prefer a more solitary dining experience. Residents also have the option to dine in their rooms if desired.
Eating together can be beneficial socially and help improve appetite. We provide appropriate cutlery and crockery for residents with disabilities, promoting independence in eating and drinking. Our staff is always available to offer support when needed, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience for everyone.

Hair Salon
Inside, residents can enjoy the services of a hairdressing salon with a visiting hairdresser, maintaining their grooming and well-being without leaving the premises.
Residents can also use their own personal hairdresser if they wish. However, we have a visiting hairdresser that comes on a weekly basis.

Medical Healthcare Services
Regular GP Visits and DOCOBO Support
Our residents benefit from weekly visits by a GP who monitors their health and well-being. Additionally, we partner with DOCOBO, a leading UK digital health company, to provide remote patient monitoring and virtual care. This service ensures assistance within two hours, offering quick access to nurses, doctors, and emergency services when needed.
Chiropody and Specialist Clinics
A chiropodist visits every five weeks to attend to residents’ foot care needs. We also arrange hearing and eye tests through specialised clinics, ensuring comprehensive health support. These services can be scheduled as required.
Dental Care
We organise dental visits to the home as necessary, giving families peace of mind about their loved ones' oral health. Residents may also continue seeing their existing dentist, travelling by taxi with an escort if needed. Escorts can be family members or arranged staff, with associated costs covered by the resident.
Social Engagement and Family Events
We encourage residents to participate in family occasions such as weddings and birthday parties. Our team is committed to assisting residents in being included in all social events, fostering connections and joy outside the home.

WiFi is also free to residents and visitors.
Accessible Facilities
The home is equipped with fully accessible bath and shower rooms, complete with hoists, to ensure ease and safety for residents with mobility challenges.
The newly installed lift is exceptionally quiet and smooth, and it's spacious enough to accommodate paramedics transporting residents on a stretcher from the hospital.
Emergency Assistance
Safety and immediate assistance are paramount, with 24-hour call bell points strategically located for quick response to any needs.
Future Enhancements
Coming soon is an indoor garden room with artificial grass and mural vines on the wall with plants, enhancing the indoor-outdoor living experience.
